Garmin Announces Special Meeting of Shareholders to Approve Two-for-One Stock Split
CAYMAN ISLANDS, May 15, 2006 -- Garmin Ltd. ("Garmin") , today announced that a special meeting of shareholders will be held at 10:00 a.m., U.S. Central Time, on July 21, 2006 at the headquarters of Garmin's subsidiary, Garmin International, Inc., in Olathe, Kansas, USA. The purpose of the special meeting is to consider and approve a two-for-one stock split that has been recommended by Garmin's Board of Directors. The record date for shareholders entitled to vote at the special meeting is May 30, 2006. If shareholders approve the stock split at the special meeting, Garmin's Board of Directors will determine and announce a record date and effective date for the stock split.
