DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund and New Detroit Science Center Announce Winners of the 'Closing the Technology Gap in Education' Awards

   30 public school science, technology, engineering and math teachers
             throughout Michigan win awards totaling $87,000

WHAT: DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund and New Detroit Science Center will announce the winners of the "Closing the Technology Gap in Education" Awards Saturday at the New Detroit Science Center. The new award recognizes Michigan public school educators who have taken extra steps to stimulate students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. Thirty public school teachers throughout the State of Michigan will win grants totaling $87,000.
