J.D. Power Reforms Initial Quality Study
Washington DC May 11, 2006; The AIADA newsletter reported that J.D. Power and Associates will start unveiling more details on car quality in its reformed Initial Quality Study. "Car buyers will see in the new study, to be released June 7, more about problems with technology introduced in cars and trucks in recent years, such as cameras to help drivers back up, cell phones that connect through radios, and rear-seat video systems," reports The Detroit Free Press.
J.D. Power increased the amount of questions in the survey from 135 to 217, and the survey was completed by more 60,000 consumers. This is the second major revision of the Initial Quality Survey since it was launched in 1987.
