FORT WORTH, Texas, May 10 -- American Airlines, through its AAdvantage(R) program, continues its 25th Anniversary Celebration by teaming up with National Car Rental(R) to give away a new 2007 Pontiac G6. The sweepstakes giveaway is part of the "25 Deals in 25 Days" celebration that marks the anniversary of the world's first frequent flyer loyalty program established by American Airlines in May 1981.
In addition to the car giveaway, today's anniversary offer includes up to 1,250 AAdvantage bonus miles for all AAdvantage members who book a car rental with National at http://www.aadvantage25.com/ . The car rental must be completed by July 31, 2006.
25 Deals in 25 Days
In addition to the National Car Rental AAdvantage bonus mile offer and car giveaway American Airlines has, through the AAdvantage program, launched nine additional "deals" in the 25th Anniversary Celebration. Below are the daily deals that have been featured at http://www.aadvantage25.com/ since the celebration started May 1.
May 1 25 percent discount on select MileSAAver(SM) awards between the United States and Mexico, the Caribbean, Hawaii or within the Continental U.S. and Canada. Must book and ticket May 1-31, 2006, and travel August 22-November 8, 2006. May 2 AAdvantage members can earn 2,500 bonus miles for each American Airlines AAdvantage Cruise(TM) booked May 2-31, 2006. There is also a sweepstakes in which 25 lucky winners will get a three night Royal Caribbean cruise for two for the cost of just $25. (There is no purchase required to enter the sweepstakes.) AAdvantage members can register for the sweepstakes May 2-31, 2006. May 3 Get a new Citi(R) Platinum Select(R) / AAdvantage MasterCard(R) or CitiBusiness(R) / AAdvantage(R) MasterCard(R) and earn 25,000 AAdvantage bonus miles after using your card for purchases totaling $250 or more. May 4 Earn a mileage bonus and up to 25 percent off rate for qualifying rentals of three days or more including a Saturday night, from Avis. Mileage bonus is 250 miles for every year a customer has been an AAdvantage member. Members must make reservations May 4-31, 2006, and rent by December 31, 2006. May 5 oneworld(R) will offer a chance to win two First Class around- the-world tickets, valid for travel on the eight existing oneworld airlines. Members must register May 5-31, 2006. May 6 AAdvantage members will win a 60,000-mile bonus from Lincoln for purchases of a Lincoln Zephyr May 6-31, 2006. May 7 Members who apply for a CitiMortgage loan May 1-31, 2006, and close by December 31, 2006, can earn the base offer of 1,000 AAdvantage miles per $10,000 in mortgage plus a 25,000 mile bonus. May 8 Marriott Vacation Club will offer 7,500 AAdvantage miles plus a $100 certificate toward a Hertz car rental for members who purchase a six-day / five-night stay at Marriott's (Hawaii) Ko Olina Beach Club resort for $699. This offer is valid for purchases made May 8-18, 2006. Travel must occur within 15 months of purchase. May 9 AAdvantage eShopping(SM) offered a one-day AAdvantage mileage bonus based on total spending. Members can continue earning miles per dollar spent at the AAdvantage eShopping mall.
