PRIMEDIA to Offer Limited Edition Artwork from Market-Leading Enthusiast Magazines; Selects ArteHouse LLC. to Bring Consumers Exclusive Images from Enthusiast Automotive Publications
LOS ANGELES--May 1, 20060, 2006--PRIMEDIA Enterprises, the business development arm of PRIMEDIA, today announced an agreement with ArteHouse LLC. to produce exclusive prints, magnets, and note cards from over 1,000 images courtesy of PRIMEDIA's enthusiast automotive magazines. The artwork will be culled from 22 publications in total, including Hot Rod, Motor Trend, Car Craft, Motorcyclist, Dirt Rider, Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, among other favorites. The art images will highlight the vivid, eye-catching photography for which PRIMEDIA's magazines are known."ArteHouse will create not just simple pictures, but photographs that tell a story and are representative of readers' enthusiasm and excitement. This is artwork that can be displayed and enjoyed for years to come," said Rick Weedn, co-founder of ArteHouse. "We are honored to be working with PRIMEDIA and their prestigious titles and believe we can help further fuel the passions shared by PRIMEDIA's broad readership."
The prints created by ArteHouse will be made using a quality process called Giclee printing, where archival inks and paper or museum canvas is used for each print. ArteHouse's digital artwork was introduced to the consumer marketplace in January, 2006. The images will be available through various online retailers and specialty retailers nationwide, and will be part of PRIMEDIA's online offerings through the respective magazines' Web sites.
