ZF Names Elizabeth Umberson President of Commercial Vehicle and Special Driveline Technology Division, North America
NORTHVILLE, Mich., May 5, 2006 -- ZF -- a leading worldwide supplier of driveline and chassis technology -- named Elizabeth Umberson President of its Commercial Vehicle and Special Driveline Technology Division within North America effective June 1, 2006.
Umberson replaces Dr. Hans Collenberg, who will take the position of Director of Research and Development, Car Chassis Technology and will return to Germany. Since 1999, Umberson has served as Plant Manager at the ZF Gainesville, Ga., facility.
In her new position, Umberson will remain at the Gainesville location and will be responsible for all North American driveline activities in commercial vehicles, along with the pick-up truck, bus and coach markets. She joined ZF in 1994, and has held the position of Plant Manager in Gainesville since 1999.
She earned a management degree from Texas A&M University, and is a resident of Gainesville, Georgia.
