Ferro Announces Appointment of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications Directors
CLEVELAND--May 4, 2006--Ferro Corporation has announced the addition of two executives to its corporate management team.David Longfellow, 49, has joined the Company as Director, Investor Relations, with responsibility for implementing communications initiatives serving Ferro's investor constituencies. Prior to joining Ferro, Longfellow served as Vice President, Investor and Government Relations, for Agere Systems, a $2 billion global leader in semiconductors for storage, wireless data, and public and enterprise networks, based in Allentown, PA. He coordinated key activities during Agere's 2001 initial public offering and also held leadership roles in strategic planning and product development at the company. He represented Agere on the Public Policy Committee of the Semiconductor Industry Association. Longfellow's experience includes acquisition integration, technology planning and competitive analysis. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
Mary Abood, 48, was appointed Director, Corporate Communications, with responsibility for internal communications, public affairs and media relations. She was most recently Vice President, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Penton Media, one of the largest business-to-business media companies in the U.S. Previous to her tenure at Penton, she led communications for Advanstar Communications, another leading b-to-b media firm. She has a BA in Journalism from Marquette University.
