The Wednesday through Friday (Aug. 9-11) general automotive strategy sessions will focus on global strategies in a flattening world and are moderated by David Cole, CAR's chairman and industry analyst.

Sessions highlighting manufacturing, low volume vehicle production and research and development in the global automotive supplier sector kick off the week on Monday and Tuesday, August 7 and 8.

"The pace of change is so fast -- and getting faster -- in the international automotive arena," said Cole. "Our annual event fosters the perfect environment to discuss and stay ahead of critical issues in the industry. I'm delighted the leadership of the manufacturers will be so well represented."

The purpose of CAR is to conduct research on significant issues related to the future direction of the global automotive industry, as well as organize and conduct forums of value to the automotive community. CAR takes pride in its reputation as a non-biased, independent resource committed to helping industry and government define and manage critical issues. Over the past 40 years, the Management Briefing Seminars have evolved into the industry's conference benchmark by providing a balance of formal presentations and varied opportunities for the informal sharing of ideas. Industry, academic and government representatives participate as panel members, moderators and keynote speakers.
