Mattman Secures Million Dollar Contract with Los Angeles Department of Water and Power; Federal Grants Continue to Bolster Mattman's Homeland Security Business

SAN MARCOS, Calif.--May 4, 2006--Mattman Specialty Vehicles, Inc. (OTC:MMSV) (www.mattmanvehicles.com) is proud to announce that the Department of Water and Power of the City of Los Angeles (DWP) has formally approved a proposal for a Mobile Water Quality Test Lab for $1,007,856.00. The Company is expected to deliver this multi-purpose vehicle in the third quarter of FYE 2007.

The Mobile Lab will be used for water testing in multiple scenarios such as biological terrorism, natural disasters, or if the Department's existing facility becomes inoperable for any reason.

This unit was made possible by a $600,000 federal grant allowing DWP's total expenditure to be $407,856. Since the inception of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), grants have been funding First Responder and Disaster Preparedness units such as these allowing agencies of all levels to have far better tools and solutions for the area they encompass. This has also been a significant boost for Mattman's business, and is expected to continue to drive increased revenues and net income to Mattman in the foreseeable future. At this time DHS has funding lined out for five years, giving Mattman a very encouraging outlook for future growth.
