Devine Entertainment Announces New Distribution Initiatives; New Broadcasts on France 5 - Bailey's Billion$ wins Dove Award and is released on DVD across North America

TORONTO, Ontario--May 4, 2006--Devine Entertainment Corporation (CUB:DVNN, NASD OTC PK:DVNNF) today announced an update on new distribution activities related to second quarter 2006 sales of its acclaimed film library. In April, new broadcasts of five of the Company's library of award-winning children's historical dramas started airing on the noted French Broadcaster France 5 and Bailey's Billion$, the Company's first feature film, was released on DVD across North America by Echo Bridge Entertainment in the U.S. and Odeon Films in Canada. In addition the Company is pleased to announce that Bailey's Billion$ was awarded the prestigious Dove Seal of Approval from the Dove Foundation for portraying and encouraging positive values for the family audience.

Management noted that the initial DVD shipment of Bailey's Billion$ by Odeon Films and Echo Bridge exceeds $2,000,000 (all figures in Canadian dollars) at retail. The Writers' Specials is the next series in the Company's library of Emmy award-winning programs that includes Beethoven Lives Upstairs, The Composers' Specials, The Inventors' Specials and The Artists' Specials. The Writers' Specials is budgeted at $7.3 million and is slated to begin principal photography in the next 12 months.
