Serco Names Ed Casey as CEO of North American Division; New Leadership Caps Integration of Resource Consultants Inc.
VIENNA, Va.--May 3, 2006--Serco, one of the world's leading service companies, has named Edward J. Casey, Jr., a former energy executive with experience in infrastructure development and investment banking, as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of its North American operations. He will head Serco's U.S. and Canadian business, which recently doubled in size with the acquisition last year of Resource Consultants Inc. (RCI).In North America, Serco provides a broad range of services to the U.S. military, the U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the Canadian Department of National Defence, as well as other federal civilian agencies, state and local governments, and commercial customers. These services are focused in the areas of logistics, human resources and training, aviation, transportation, information technology, consulting and engineering.
Casey has spent much of his career growing public and private businesses and leading joint investment and development projects. He most recently was founder of Lowell Partners L.L.C., a private investment and business development firm, and has led private equity funds in infrastructure for the Fremont Group, largely controlled by the Bechtel family. He also was president of Tenneco Energy, a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of NP Energy, and Group President of LG&E Energy, a leading utility-affiliated power project developer and energy marketer. Casey also worked in investment banking with UBS Warburg and The Blackstone Group. Casey has a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard College and an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.
