Goodyear Introduces New Hose Assembly E-Manual
AKRON, Ohio, May 2, 2006 -- Industrial distributors can now find new hose assembly and repair information on the Goodyear Engineered Products website.

The latest version of Goodyear's Industrial Hose Assembly Manual includes expanded hose assembly specifications, the Rubber Manufacturer Association's current maintenance and test procedures, the Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution, or NAHAD, crimp fabrication guidelines and the complete line of Goodyear Perma-Crimp crimping equipment and accessories.
According to Keith Collett, Goodyear's industrial hose marketing manager, the 39-page manual is easy to navigate, as well as print. "Visitors will quickly find the information they need," he said.
"Customer information needs are growing and becoming more complex," said Collett. "The e-manual is a value-added service that gives assembly technicians a better understanding of Goodyear hose products, assembly requirements and test procedures."
He said the overhauled manual also contains important inspection, general care, maintenance and storage information for industrial hose. "With a click of a mouse, information is immediately available to help Goodyear customers avoid costly downtime."
The Industrial Hose Assembly Manual is accessible from the resources menu at http://www.goodyearindustrialproducts.com/cgi-bin/industrialhose/index.pl. It can also be accessed by Goodyear Authorized Distributors with a password at the company's Engineered Products Information Exchange, or EPIX, site.
