Superior Industries Honored As A General Motors Supplier of the Year For Sixth Straight Year

VAN NUYS, Calif.--May 2, 2006--Superior Industries International, Inc. announced today that it has been named a General Motors Supplier of the Year for 2005, marking the sixth consecutive year that Superior has been honored by GM with this prestigious award. The award, given during ceremonies Saturday, April 29, at GM's Vehicle Engineering Center in Warren, Michigan, recognizes Superior's overall business performance in providing GM with world-class parts and services.

They are recognized as a GM Supplier of the Year because they exceeded our expectations in 2005," said Bo Andersson, vice president, GM Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price. This year, General Motors honored 85 suppliers for their excellence throughout 2005.
