Matthias Heinz, New Director of SEAT Deutschland

Barcelona, Spain - April 28, 2006: Matthias Heinz, 49 years old, will be appointed director of SEAT Deutschland (SEAT’s subsidiary in Germany) with effect from 1st June 2006. Heinz will replace Michael Grosche, who will assume new responsibilities at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Until now Heinz has been director of the holding Schwaba, which administers 11 dealerships of the brands SEAT, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Suzuki, situated near the German city of Augsburg. During his career the new director of SEAT Deutschland has held several leading positions in various automotive companies such as Kia Motors, Saab and Toyota, his work basically being related with the areas Sales and Marketing and Dealer Network.
Heinz was born in Weimar, Germany, and holds a Degree in Business Administration. He has three children.
SEAT’s Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, Dr. Giuseppe Tartaglione, said that “this new appointment is part of the strategy to strengthen the Commercial area of the company, this time in its main country of exportation, and in an environment characterised by a great competitiveness in the market”.
