i2 Customers in Automotive, Aerospace and Defense, Industrial and Metals to Demonstrate Industry Leading Best Practices at i2 Planet 2006
DALLAS--April 27, 2006--i2 Planet 2006 offers more learning opportunities than ever for companies in the Automotive, Aerospace and Defense, Industrial and Metals industries. Presentations from companies such as Airbus, Bell Helicopter, Southwest Airlines, Kia Motors America, Honeywell, and Tata Steel are just some of the highlights attendees can expect at the i2 Technologies, Inc. event May 10 - 12 at the Wynn Las Vegas.During general session, Krones, a company that plans, develops, manufactures, and installs machines and complete filling and packaging lines, and JFE Steel, a leading Japanese steel manufacturer, will present their successful use of i2 solutions to create a more agile enterprise.
Individual industry sessions will offer attendees customized learning opportunities. Automotive and Industrial companies will benefit from an industry session where i2's focus and direction in this area will be discussed, and Noha Tohamy of Forrester Research will present her point of view on globalization. Dassault Systemes will also present how the company is taking supplier relationship management (SRM) solutions into the next-generation. A separate industry session for Aerospace and Defense companies will focus on industry challenges as well as solution best practices and feature speakers from EADS, the parent company of Airbus, as well as Dassault Systemes. Also during this session, John Fontanella of Aberdeen Group will discuss industry trends and moderate a panel discussion. During an industry session for Metals companies, Noha Tohamy of Forrester Research will discuss global supply chains and i2 executives will discuss the current business landscape for the Metals industry, and future developments and roadmaps for i2 solutions.
Attendees can also attend breakout sessions and special interest group sessions focused on industry-specific challenges. The i2 User Group will sponsor the Special Interest Group meetings providing i2 customers with an opportunity to network with their peers and discuss specific challenges such as new business requirements and how i2 tools are being used for multi-level inventory optimization.
