Mattman Secures Two More Contracts This Week as Orders Continue to Increase; Contracts Total $412,228 in Revenues to Mattman; Homeland Security Market Continues to Show Long Term Growth
SAN MARCOS, Calif.--April 27, 2006--Mattman Specialty Vehicles, Inc. (OTC:MMSV) (www.mattmanvehicles.com) is proud to announce it is once again being recognized as the quality leader of its industry with the award of two contracts this week for its specialty vehicles.The first order is from a repeat customer, the New Mexico State Police, for a Mobile DUI Checkpoint and holding cell. With a contract value of $138,948.00, this is the third unit of its kind ordered by the State of New Mexico from Mattman. "These units have been great tools for the State Police," states John Mattman, Chairman of Mattman Specialty Vehicles. "They not only deter driving under the influence but are also an excellent source of revenue."
The next contract awarded was from the San Bernardino, Calif. Police Department, for the city's SWAT team. The value of the completed unit is $273,280.00. Other than simply being an equipment hauler for the SWAT team, Mattman engineered a complete solution for tactical call-outs. The truck is based on a heavy duty Freightliner chassis with 12,000 watts of available on-board power for electronics. Features include 6,000 watts of halogen lighting mounted to a 42' telescoping tower, a networked computer system, telephone and two-way radios, air conditioning, a weapons locker, exterior workstations with flat screen monitors allowing the team to monitor news coverage, a roof deck and three electric awnings.
