AMA Ford Quality Checked Flat Track Championship Live, On-Demand, Via Internet
ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--April 20, 2006--Racing fans, get ready to get rowdy from virtually anywhere. For the first time the AMA Ford Quality Checked Flat Track Championship will broadcast live, exclusively via the Internet at www.LiveISports.com.Live I Sports, LLC is excited to announce a revolutionary product that U.S. racing fans won't be able to get anywhere else. Doug Stewart, Live I Sports' founder, said the company is thrilled to be one of the first to not only broadcast racing live, but to capture a global racing audience. "For $5 per event, fans will be able to log-in online and watch the AMA championship live, on-demand. This is revolutionary technology that will facilitate in closing the gap between TV and the Internet," explained Stewart.
The first broadcast will be available pay-per-view during double-header weekend in Springfield, Ill. Saturday, May 27, 2006 and 28. Spectators can start signing-up in May at www.LiveISports.com. The events will also be archived on the site for viewers to retrieve at their convenience for $5 per race. Advertisers will have an opportunity to showcase their companies and products to fans by purchasing commercial time during the races and advertising on Live I Sports' Web page. "We chose to promote our company on Flattrack.com due to their high-volume Web traffic and credibility within the industry," said Stewart. "This will provide advertisers with more opportunities to promote their products and services."
Stewart said he was inspired to launch the company about a year ago while listening to a racing audio-cast on the Internet. "If I'm willing to sit in front of the computer and listen, then why wouldn't fans be willing to sit and watch it live?" asked Stewart. "It is our belief that this opportunity will grow a dirt track fan base from all corners of the globe, and we are confident this new form of media entertainment will accomplish this for the racing industry."
Live I Sports will broadcast 17 races this season and plans to offer the pay-per-view service for consecutive years. Each production will require a 16-person crew, six cameras and a 48-foot tractor-trailer rig with satellite uplink. All events will be shot in high definition and will include instant replay, slow motion, state-of-the-art graphics, animation, radar gun and TV commercials. "We selected Dimension X Designs (D-X-D), based in Mission, Kan., to produce each race because of their outstanding reputation within the sports industry, which includes Major League Baseball, the National Football League and the National Hockey League," explained Stewart.
Stewart has been passionate about flat track racing since age two, when he attended his first race. A native of Stockton, Kan., he started racing at the age of 16 and continues to enjoy the sport today at age 49. Stewart currently resides in Castle Rock, Colo., a suburb of Denver, where he is a partner with a successful land and water rights brokerage company.
