Christian Brothers Automotive 2005 Growth Paves Way for 2006 Victory; Operational Changes, Rapid Expansion and Some Faith Take Christian Brothers to the Top

HOUSTON--April 20, 2006--Christian Brothers Automotive Corporation (CBAC), one of the nation's leading full-service automotive service and repair franchise organizations, continues to conquer the industry with rapid expansion. The recipe for Christian Brother's success was fine-tuned in 2005 with sharp revenue increases; the addition of a dedicated training facility; the creation of a real estate holding company; and the tried-and-true model based on honesty and integrity.

Based in Houston, Texas, CBAC currently operates 36 facilities in six states. Growth revenue increased 30 percent in 2005 and is projected to produce additional marked increases in 2006 with the addition of ten to 13 new facilities. Long-term growth strategy includes over 20 locations in new and existing markets through 2007, including:

N. Houston Levee (Memphis, TN) April 2006 OPEN

The infallible growth model relies in part on the innovativeness of land selection. CBAC utilizes the latest technology to study new markets in conjunction with plotting all customers in metropolitan areas, indicating gaps in CBAC's market share. In addition, the recent acquisition of a real estate holding company, lead by CBAC Founder and CEO Mark Carr, is expected to expedite the commercial development process. Lew Ten Have, COO of CBAC, will lead all franchise operations.

New franchisees will now undergo most of their training in the former CBAC repair facility on Grand Parkway in Cinco Ranch, Houston, which has been converted into a full service training site by the corporation. Centralized training, which is expected to reduce travel costs by 50 percent, is a method utilized by many major American franchisors because they give franchisees insight into day-to-day operations and the challenges faced as business grows. The facility will be operated by the current head of marketing, Rob Thompson, and Jonathan Carr.

"As we enter a new year, we are eager to trump the industry with a solid vision. Our success remains contingent on our mission to offer top-notch service with integrity and honesty. Historically, the automotive repair industry has been challenged by negative perceptions. CBAC exists to challenge the norm by insisting on quality, fairness and first-rate customer service," explains Carr.

CBAC boasts a 100 percent success rate for all locations, resulting in a marked increase in the number of franchisee applications by 25 percent. The increased demand, however, has not swayed CBAC's comprehensive screening process for all potential store owners.

Carr established the first automotive repair facility in 1982 in Houston, and began selling franchises in 1997. Currently, CBAC operates 36 stores in six states including in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, and Georgia.
