CarMax Enters Northeast With Superstore Opening in Hartford, Conn.
RICHMOND, Va., April 20 -- CarMax, Inc., , the nation's largest retailer of used cars, officially opened its first store in the Northeast region of the United States today with an opening in Hartford, Connecticut. The retailer's second northeastern U.S. store will be opened early next year in New Haven, Connecticut.

The new CarMax superstore is located at 89 Weston Street in Hartford, Connecticut. The store is more than 50,000 square-feet, employs more than 100 people and stocks between 350 to 500 vehicles, including nearly every make and model.
CarMax opened its first store in Richmond, Virginia more than 12 years ago after surveying thousands of consumers to find out what they liked and disliked about car shopping. CarMax was designed according to the survey responses, giving consumers what they asked for:
