SAN JOSE, Calif.--April 19, 2006--Cableco Technologies, a subsidiary of Methode Electronics, Inc., introduces its improved Power SwivelNut(TM) interconnect system for applications involving rotating threaded nut and wire cable termination. The updated system offers improved concentricity and expanded product size range.

The Power SwivelNut is a unique power interconnect that crimps a wire to a captive rotating nut. The patented design allows rotation of the nut as it screws onto a power stud while maintaining continuity and providing a low voltage drop connection. Ideal for any power stud connection, the Power SwivelNut offers a slim, reliable connection for wire to bus bar, printed circuit board, or power conversion input/output. The small diameter profile improves wire management when used in densely populated power stud designs.

The new Power SwivelNut has been redesigned to improve concentricity when seating to a stud. Insulating boots are now available. Product range has been expanded to include all standard and metric thread sizes for wire gauges 12 AWG through 4/0. Pricing at 1,000 pieces for 4 AWG is $2.15 each.
