Dollar Thrifty Named to Fortune 1000 List Fourth Consecutive Year

TULSA, Okla., April 19 -- For the fourth consecutive year, Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. has been named a Fortune 1000 company in Fortune magazine's 2006 list of America's largest corporations, the company announced today.

Dollar Thrifty -- ranked No. 961 based on 2005 record revenues of $1.52 billion -- was one of seven Oklahoma companies named to the list and the only non-energy sector company in the group. The company made its debut on the list in 2003 at No. 999. A complete list is available at http://www.fortune.com/ .

"Our fourth consecutive showing on Fortune's prestigious list demonstrates our commitment to bring value to our shareholders and customers," said Gary L. Paxton, CEO and president of Dollar Thrifty. "We achieved a seven percent increase in revenues from the previous year. Contributing to that growth was the progress we've made in our franchise acquisition program, which we embarked upon in December 2002. Since that time, we have acquired operations in 52 markets and opened ten new locations adding approximately 30,000 vehicles on an annualized basis to our corporate fleet."
