Holder Named Vice President, Eaton Business System

CLEVELAND--April 19, 2006--Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced that Richard D. Holder has been named vice president, Eaton Business System (EBS), effective May 1, 2006. He replaces James W. McGill, who was recently named vice president, Asia/Pacific.

Holder will continue the aggressive implementation of the Eaton Business System throughout the company to support Eaton's integrated operating company business model. He will report to Alexander M. Cutler, Eaton chairman and chief executive officer, and will be located in Cleveland.

"Rich brings a great breadth of experience to the EBS role," said Cutler. "He has held both operating and functional positions in Eaton's Electrical Group, and worked in the aerospace industry before joining Eaton."

Holder joined Eaton's Electrical Group in 2001 as vice president, Supply Chain and Operational Excellence. He became vice president and general manager, Power Distribution and Assemblies Division in 2004. Prior to joining Eaton, he was director of Aircraft and Technical Purchasing for US Airways, served as manager of Strategic Materials at Allied Signal and held a number of supply chain management positions at Parker Hannifin's aerospace division in California.

Holder earned a bachelor's degree in aviation management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, and a master's degree in business from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
