Madico Accelerates Production and Reduces Costs with Zund Cutter; Investment Reinforces Commitment to Domestic Manufacturing

WOBURN, Mass.--April 17, 2006--Madico, Inc., one of the world's largest manufacturers of scientifically engineered window films and photovoltaic backsheets, today completed the installation of a Zund cutting system at the company's Massachusetts headquarters. The Swiss-made equipment will allow Madico to cut its photovoltaic, safety, defense healthcare and aerospace materials onsite with greater precision and efficiency.

The premium cutting system will drive the company's development of new converted products across its industrial, graphics and film lines. Madico also plans to use the machinery to expand existing product offerings by cutting digitally created shapes out of its backsheet and film materials, as well as expedite shipping by automatically inspecting, marking and labeling finished goods during the cutting process.
