London Hosts Cutting-Edge Car Design Conference

LONDON, April 12 -- How do we create cars that surprise and delight consumers? This crucial question will be discussed at the second Interior Motives Design Conference, to be held at the Museum in Docklands from 6 - 8 June 2006.

This annual forum is the ideal platform for leading designers and experts from automotive design to come together and debate the latest trends within the industry and beyond.

The conference starts with a cocktail reception on the evening of June 6. This is the first of many networking opportunities throughout the event and will give delegates the chance to intensify existing relationships and build new business liaisons.

Also, there will be numerous networking lunches and refreshment breaks and the exclusive gala dinner will be held on the "La Nauticia", a River Thames cruise boat.

The Interior Motives Team is in the process of finalising the speaker programme. Sessions include:

- Real world: informing the world of car design

- Human centred design

- Design identity: brand design and cultural requirements

- Advancing design in the face of change

- Breaking out: changing the model and car design

- Trend design

- Project futures: forecasting tomorrow, advancing design today
