Modine Announces it Has Completed the Process of Shifting Production from its Bensalem, Pennsylvania Plant to Other U.S. Facilities

RACINE, Wis.--April 11, 2006--Modine Manufacturing Company , a global leader in designing and developing heating and cooling solutions for a diversified group of markets today announced it has successfully completed shifting production from its Bensalem, Pennsylvania plant to its other U.S. facilities under budget and ahead of schedule. In August, 2005, the company announced that it planned to close the facility. It produced specialty product lines for non-residential air conditioner systems, such as schools, offices and other commercial spaces. Modine had acquired the facility as part of its acquisition of Airedale International Air Conditioning Ltd. of Leeds, U.K. in May, 2005.

David B. Rayburn, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "We're very pleased with our progress on the Airedale acquisition, including the team's successes as they've moved Bensalem's production to other locations. Our integration is running quite smoothly. We've exceeded our sales expectations with this acquisition, particularly our plans to cross-sell Modine and Airedale products into key European and North American markets. Additionally, we're running ahead of our internal projections of $1.3 million in savings through the 2007 fiscal year."

Wayne R. Canfield, Modine's General Manager Commercial HVAC&R Division, added, "As we mentioned last year, Airedale fits our acquisition criteria for product, market, customer and geographic diversification. We continue to believe that the demand for energy efficient, environmentally friendly air conditioning systems will continue to rise. By integrating Airedale into our HVAC&R business, we can take even greater and faster advantage of growing worldwide air conditioning opportunities."

Founded in 1916, with projected fiscal 2006 revenues from continuing operations of approximately $1.6 billion, Modine specializes in thermal management systems and components, bringing highly engineered heating and cooling technology and solutions to diversified global markets. Modine products are used in light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles, HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) equipment, industrial equipment, refrigeration systems, fuel cells, and electronics. Based in Racine, Wisconsin, the Company has more than 8,200 employees at 34 facilities in 15 countries worldwide. For information about Modine, visit www.modine.com.
