Infor Provides Automotive Customers with Onsite Evaluations for Plant Efficiency Improvements

Infor's BLISS service offers consulting for manufacturing customers to improve operations and tackle diversified global growth head-on

LAS VEGAS, April 11 -- Infor, the largest global enterprise software provider focused on developing solutions for the manufacturing and distribution industries, today announced the implementation of BLISS (Building Lean, Integrated System Solutions), a consultation service for its automotive manufacturing customers interested in improving business processes using their existing Infor solutions.

From its customers, Infor learned that with the rapidly escalating requirements for global flexibility, manufacturers were searching for new ideas to improve their productivity with their current technology. As a result, Infor launched BLISS, a professional-service support initiative which adds functionality to customers' existing solutions and ensures they are getting the most from their technology.

BLISS is a program designed to complement customers' current technology by enabling facilities to become leaner and achieve improved performance in their operations. Customers will be able to save money and often may avoid the need to add modules to their existing solutions.

It applies a systematic approach to examine a customer's manufacturing situation onsite, identifies opportunities and develops the appropriate solutions to achieve desired results. It focuses on the manufacturer's plant, process and people by evaluating the current process and identifying opportunities to make their collaboration more efficient based on their needs.

BLISS helps customers focus resources and investments on their priorities, measure the before-and-after use of their systems and user knowledge, execute improvements and measure results, and provide ongoing maintenance of sustained results.

"Our customers asked for assistance to gain more visibility and productivity in their plants," said Kevin Piotrowski, Infor's senior director of industry marketing. "BLISS was developed to provide this, as well as reduced inventory, streamline processes and lower operational costs."
