Jason Line claims No. 10 at Vegas

LAS VEGAS (April 8, 2006) - Other than seeing his teammate Greg Anderson
qualify No. 1, qualifying for the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals wasn't
much fun for Jason Line, driver of the KB Racing LLC/Summit Racing
Equipment Pontiac GTO.

Line best of four qualifying efforts was a pass of 6.814 seconds at
202.76 mph, good for the No. 10 position on the final Pro Stock
qualifying ladder. It was only the ninth time in 55 races that Line
hasn't qualifying in the top half of the 16-car field.

After qualifying No. 1 at the last race in Houston and going to the
semifinal round, our expectations were high coming here to The Strip at
Las Vegas Motor Speedway," said Line. "We plan to work as late as
necessary tonight to find and correct our problem and be ready for
eliminations tomorrow."

Line will face Dave Howard, who qualified No. 7 with an elapsed time of
6.797 seconds, in the opening round of tomorrow's eliminations. In two
previous meetings between the two, Line has won both.

Line begins his quest for the SummitRacing.com Nationals Pro Stock title
tomorrow with eliminations for all classes beginning at 11 a.m. All
times are local Las Vegas time (PT) and subject to change at anytime.

Qualifying highlights for the seventh annual NHRA SummitRacing.com
Nationals can be seen on ESPN2 on Saturday evening (April 8) from 8-10
p.m. ESPN2 will also air same-day television coverage of eliminations
from 7 until 10 p.m. on Sunday (April 9). The elimination show repeats
early Tuesday morning (April 11) from 2:30-4:30 a.m. Also, tune in to
NHRA2Day on ESPN2, the weekly show that gives you the latest information
about the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. NHRA2Day can be seen on
