MOPAR’S CAPPS TO APPEAR ON SPEED CHANNEL’S ‘SPEEDFREAKS’ TV
Center Line, Mich. — Current NHRA POWERade Funny Car Series points leader,
Ron Capps, is set to appear on Speed Channel’s “SpeedFreaks TV�?? this
Saturday, April 8. Capps will take on hosts Kenny Sargent, Crash Gladys, Lugg Nuttz
and Statt Mann, as they sit down to get his take on the motorsports world.
SpeedFreaks TV will air on Speed Channel at 12 a.m. EST (April 9)/9 p.m. PST
April 8.
Capps, who was the 2005 NHRA POWERade Funny Car Series Championship
runner-up, competes for Don Schumacher Racing. Capps and the Brut Racing Dodge
Stratus team currently lead the NHRA POWERade Funny Car Series points chase. The
team has won two NHRA POWERade Funny Car Series events thus far in the 2006
season, earning back-to-back wins at Gainesville Raceway and Houston Raceway
last weekend.
This episode of “SpeedFreaks TV�?? was shot on location from the Mopar Direct
Connection mobile traveling center during the Carquest Auto Parts NHRA
Winternationals at Pomona Raceway in February. The Mopar Direct Connection was
reintroduced in 2005, during the NHRA Mopar Mile-High Nationals at Bandimere
Raceway. Providing on-site technical and engineering support, the Mopar Direct
Connection was created to serve the grassroots racing community.
“SpeedFreaks�?? can be heard every Sunday night on the Freak Radio Network.
