SEVENTH ANNUAL NHRA SUMMITRACING.COM NATIONALS
THE STRIP AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY - LAS VEGAS
APRIL 6-9, 2006

Anderson likes The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Las Vegas home to team owner Ken Black

LAS VEGAS (April 5, 2006) - When Greg Anderson takes to the quarter-mile
at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for this weekend's NHRA
SummitRacing.com Nationals, the Vegas odds are in his favor as he
usually does well on this track in a city where the odds usually favor
the house.

That's not good news for Anderson's opponents. But to be victorious,
Anderson, behind the wheel of the KB Racing LLC-owned, Summit Racing
Equipment-backed Pontiac GTO must first reverse two second round losses
at the last two events - Gainesville and Houston.

"We've not been at the top of our game the last two races and loss to
some good teams," admitted Anderson following Houston. "The other teams
have certainly upgraded their engine programs over the off season and
that has made the competition on the track even closer that it has been.

"We tested after Houston and think we learned what our problem was
during the race there. We'll apply what we found and hopefully we'll be
back on track at Las Vegas."

Moving from Houston, a track that is very close to sea level, to a track
that has the second highest elevation on the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing
Series circuit, presents challenges for many of the teams. But as noted
previously, Anderson has performed well at this venue regardless of the
track's altitude.

Starting with the spring race in 2003, Anderson has gone to the final
round at six straight events at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Anderson defeated Kurt Johnson (KJ) three consecutive times (2003:
spring and fall race and 2004: spring race). In the fall race of the
2004 season he defeated his teammate Jason Line. Last season, the
three-time NHRA POWERade Pro Stock champion was runner-up twice - in the
spring race to Dave Connolly and in the fall race when KJ turned the
tables and won over Anderson.

Additionally, during the same time span (2003-2005), Anderson was No. 1
qualify four of the six races (spring and fall, 2003: spring, 2004; and
fall, 2005), had low elapsed time of the event three times (spring and
fall, 2003 and spring, 2004) and had top speed at three of the events
(fall, 2003 and spring and fall, 2004). He currently holds the track
record for speed at 203.09 seconds, set at the fall 2004 event.

"We like the Las Vegas track," said Anderson, on the eve of this year's
SummitRacing.com Nationals. "It's (team owner) Ken Black's hometown and
the race is sponsored by our sponsor Summit Racing Equipment. You
always want to do well for your team owner and sponsor and we try hard
to do that here. I can't wait for qualifying to start Friday."

Qualifying for Anderson, who is current No. 1 in points entering this
event, and his KB Racing LLC/Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac
GTO begins with two sessions on Friday, April 7, scheduled for 3 and 6
p.m. and concludes with two additional sessions on Saturday, April 8, at
12 noon and 3 p.m. Anderson begins his quest for the O'Reilly Auto
Parts Nationals Pro Stock title on Sunday, April 2, with eliminations
for all classes beginning at 11 a.m. All times are local Las Vegas time
(PT) and subject to change at anytime.

Nationals can be seen on ESPN2 on Saturday evening (April 8) from 8-10
p.m. ESPN2 will also air same-day television coverage of eliminations
from 7 until 10 p.m. on Sunday (April 9). The elimination show repeats
early Tuesday morning (April 11) from 2:30-4:30 a.m. Also, tune in to
