Construction Events Announces General Motors Platinum Sponsorship for Construction 2006
PLEASANTON, CA - April 3, 2006: Construction Events today announced that GMC, a division of General Motors Corp., has joined Construction 2006 as a Platinum Sponsor. The GMC sponsorship features the Bay Area Commercial GMC Truck dealers ("GMC Business Central" dealers) and joins Mannington Commercial and Peterson Tractor as the event's highest level sponsors. The GMC Business Central dealers, who handle all commercial vehicle sales and service in Northern California, will join several other sponsors and almost 200 participating companies at the co-located Construction 2006 and Green Construction 2006 events to be held April 12-13, 2006, at the San Jose Convention Center (San Jose, CA)."The four Bay Area GMC Business Central dealers will be highlighted at the event" said Michael Doyle, Executive Director for Construction Events. "GMC is a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles for the construction trades. The GMC exhibit will feature a display of 10 vehicles all targeted toward the needs of Northern California contractors. The San Jose Convention Center has also allowed two vehicles to be displayed in front of the Center near the front entrance to set the stage for attendees as they enter the building.
The two-day combined events (Construction 2006 and Green Construction 2006) will bring the entire Northern California building community together to focus on developing and sharing best practices for all types of building as well as construction business development.
Current speakers include members from San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Santa Rosa and Sacramento cities as well as various schools districts and other government builders including California Department of Transportation, Contractors State License Board, Department of General Services and California Integrated Waste Management Board. Major construction companies such as Turner Construction, ARUP, Swinerton, Hallmark Construction, Christopherson Homes, and Hathaway Dinwiddie will be participating along with utility companies (PG&E, SMUD and the State Water Quality Control Board).
