A&D Technology, Inc. Releases Powerful Suite of Model-Based Development Products for Automated Powertrain Testing and Calibration
ANN ARBOR, Mich.--April 3, 2006--A&D Technology, Inc. today announced the release of Atlas MBD, a model-based development environment for automated powertrain testing and calibration. This environment comprises integrated tools for specific functions in the testing process, including Test Automation, a model-based Mapping and Optimization tool, and iCONNECT, a distributed I/O system. A related tool, Helios IPM, provides web-based remote test lab monitoring capabilities."This release of Atlas MBD represents a new level of flexibility in powertrain testing," said Rob Lamb, Global Marketing Manager. "This exemplifies why test professionals worldwide turn to A&D for innovative solutions to enhance lab productivity and reduce product time to market."
Atlas MBD provides seamless integration between the powertrain test bed system and the optimization system. The modular design allows test engineers to implement an entire model-based testing process, or to select specific tools to integrate easily into an existing system. The model-based mapping and optimization tool can be integrated as an upgrade to the process at any time. When integrated with the A&D CAS combustion analysis system, the ASAP3 interface allows for both steady state and transient calibration. "Atlas MBD will allow test engineers to keep pace with the ever-increasing complexity of the engine calibration process," said George Shaw, A&D product marketing manager. "Our modular approach allows for easy implementation into an existing process, thereby maximizing resources by leveraging existing practices."
