Time to Get Serious: SCCA Tire Rack Solo National Tour Field Stacked in
Walnut Ridge on April Fools' Weekend

TOPEKA, Kan. (March 31, 2006) - Though a portion of the next stop on the
Tire Rack(r) SCCA Solo National Tour falls on April Fools' Day, there
won't be much fooling around for competitors this weekend; not with the
2006 season already a third of the completed and chances to earn points
toward a trip to the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships in
Topeka dwindling.

If this weekend is anything like last time the Solo National Tour made
its way into Walnut Ridge, the event will have a championship feel to it
as many local supporters make their way to the Walnut Ridge Airport to
cheer on competitors.

A set of Wisconsin Soloists, including a husband-and-wife duo, could
give a good cause to cheer as Steve Wynveen, of Germantown, Wis. (
www.mercuryracing.com <http://www.mercuryracing.com/> 2001 Honda
S2000), along with Jeff and Denise Cashmore, of New Berlin, Wis. (Inacom
Information Systems 1989 Chevrolet Corvette), battle in A Stock.

Ralph Elder, of Folsom, Calif., will be a force to reckon with in B
Stock as he takes on 14 other drivers in his 2000 Honda S2000. Among
those who could very well be up to the task of taking Elder down are
Carter Thompson, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Jim Thompson of Cleveland,
Tenn., who will co-drive a 2005 Nissan 350Z.

In B Street Prepared, Jeff Templeton, of Saint Louis, Mo., in his
Shimmysideways.com 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi, may be the one to beat.
However, Joel Fehrman, of Smyrna, Ga., could have other thoughts on his
mind on who the top spot will go to. Fehrman will drive his own, newer
STi - the Knowledge Performance 2005 Subaru WRX.

North meets South in C Stock this weekend when Bradley Lamont, of
Chicago, Ill., and Darrin DiSimo, of Coral Springs, Fla., duke it out in
the middle of the country. Lamont will sport his over6racing.com 1999
Mazda Miata, while DiSimo will counter with his own 1999 Miata.

G Stock will be a 17-car tussle in Walnut Ridge this weekend with Robert
Carpenter, of Knoxville, Tenn. (2001 Toyota Celica); Matthew Jensen, of
Terre Haute, Ind. (WayMotorWorks.com/Dreyer&Reinbold
MINI/SoloRacer.com/18Racing.com/TireTote.com 2005 Mini Cooper S) and
Jeff Jacobs, of Philadelphia, Pa. (Mini of Charleston/Miniusa.com/Helix
Minisports 2005 Mini Cooper S) leading the way.

In Super Stock, 18 drivers are set to duke it out, and unlike some other
classes where one car may dominate the entry list, three different
makes, with three very capable drivers, could wind up the victor.
Matthew Braun, of Northville, Mich., will pilot the PowerPlug 2005 Lotus
Elise and go up against, among others, Jerry Onks, of Smyrna, Tenn.
(VetteSport/RAFT 2002 Chevrolet Z06) and G.H. Sharp, of Kernersville,
N.C. (2006 Porsche Cayman S).

Where it could be a number of different models that takes the Super
Stock win, attention will be turned to a pair of Honda Civics in Street
Touring S, where Andy Hollis, of Austin, Texas (Soulspeed/ART/GRM 1989
Honda Civic Si) and Courtney Cormier, of Glen Allen, Va. (1990 Honda
Civic Si) will battle each other and the seven other STS entrants.

The first of five heats begins competition at the Walnut Ridge Airport
at 9:15 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday. An awards presentation,
schedule for 4:30 p.m., will follow immediately upon completion of the
event.
