With Baseball (and Road Construction) Season Upon Us, Pace Makes Getting to Sox, Cubs Games a Whole Lot Easier

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.--March 31, 2006--Whether your team loyalties lie to the north or south, Pace service gets you to and from the game for less without any traffic or parking hassles. This year Pace is providing its successful Special Events service to both White Sox and Cubs games, starting with Opening Day, Sunday April 2 for the White Sox and Friday, April 7 for the Cubs. Throughout the season, service is provided to most games except daytime weekday games in April, May, September or October.

Last year a new departure point, Yorktown Center in Lombard, was added to the "Cubs Roundtripper" and ridership increased by 48% with a record of 16,590 passengers. This year Pace is serving every Cubs' home game during June, July and August. As in the past, buses operate to all night, weekend and holiday games at Wrigley Field. The Cubs Roundtripper departs from the Yorktown Center in Lombard and Pace's Northwest Transportation Center (NWTC) in Schaumburg near Woodfield Mall. Free parking is available at both locations.

The newest edition to Pace's roster of Special Events services has been named the "Go Go Sox Express". Like the Cubs service it operates to all night, weekend and holiday games and every weekday game in June, July and August. It also has two departure points with free parking - Pace Park-n-Ride locations in Bolingbrook at 120 E. Old Chicago Drive and in Burr Ridge at McClintock and Lincolnshire Drives. Since these lots are both near I-55, anyone from the far south and southwest can avoid the Dan Ryan delays around U. S. Cellular field, park and take the Pace bus into the City.

Round trip fare on both of these routes is only $7.50, payable on the bus or with advance purchase tickets. Tickets are only $5 each when six or more are purchased. They can be purchased in advance at Pace Headquarters in Arlington Heights or at Pace's Online Store. Exact cash fare is required for tickets purchased on the bus.

For more information about how to get to Wrigley Field using the "Cubs Roundtripper" or to U.S Cellular Field using the "Go Go Sox Express", visit Pace's website, www.pacebus.com for departure times or call the RTA Travel Information Center from any area code at 836-7000.
