Puradyn Bypass Oil Filtration System Exceeds Expectations in Joint Test Conducted With Major Oil Company

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.--March 30, 2006--

Test Demonstrates the Need for Fine Filtration as a Deterrent to Premature Engine Wear in Engines Equipped with Latest Emission Standard Devices

puraDYN Filter Technologies Incorporated (OTCBB:PFTI) today announced results from a joint test run on the increased efficiency of bypass oil filtration when used with premium engine oil.

The test inspections were conducted in February on five 2006 Volvo D12-435 EGR tractor trucks used for on-road service delivering fuel and lubrication products. All five trucks were similar in mileage, provided with one of several major brands of diesel engine oil and serviced every 20,000 miles. Four of the five trucks were equipped with the puraDYN(R) bypass oil filtration system.

The final test results showed that upon inspection of the five engines at approximately 112,000 miles, three out of four equipped with the puraDYN system were clean with no deposits of sludge buildup and very little wear. The fourth engine showed minimal signs of dirt but did not exhibit any deposits of sludge. The inspection of the engine using premium oil without the puraDYN system installed showed obvious signs of wear and, in the technical director's words, "(They) found heavy cylinder wear at top of liners and showing some mirroring in spots; also has more deposit build up than other units; camshaft and rollers showing heavy scoring; also found internal engine components very dirty."

Dramatic results were found on the engine using the puraDYN system with synthetic oil. Cylinder wear was rated 'very good' and internal engine components 'very clean.'

A representative for the oil company stated, "We believe the combination of the puraDYN bypass oil filtration system used with premium oil offers one maintenance alternative that is timely, cost-effective and highly efficient when applied to harmful engine buildup. This particular combination addresses high particulate matter (soot) issues which owners of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) engines are now facing. As our mechanic that conducted the test put it, 'Maintenance is the key to keeping a truck running'."

Several leading engine manufacturers have adopted various new engine technologies such as EGR, which circulates exhaust back into the engine creating heavy soot buildup in the oil, in order to meet U.S. 2002 emission standards for heavy-duty diesel engines. Each year the emission standards have become more stringent, creating a challenge for engine and oil companies.

According to Richard C. Ford, Chief Executive Officer, Puradyn, "This recent test conducted with Puradyn underscores the importance of fine filtration as a much-needed solution to the issue of premature engine wear in newer engines due to harmful buildups in the engine and oil. The expected average life cycle on this type of truck is approximately 800,000 to well over one million miles. 112,000 miles is considered low mileage. When the test truck without the puraDYN system showed premature wear at such low mileage, it was a clear indication of the irreversible damage that these newer engines are going to sustain without the benefit of micro-filtration."

Ford concluded, "As operating costs for fleets continue to soar, puraDYN's bypass filtration systems are being evaluated by many companies to help reduce costs as well as optimize engine efficiency and life. The combination of reduced oil handling and costs, reduced maintenance, plus optimum engine efficiency add to up to a stronger bottom line for the fleet owner. Puradyn is very pleased to have been recognized by an oil company of this standing as a major contributor to extended oil drains and longer engine life."
