Car Kulture DeLuxe Magazine Honors Buck Owens with Interview about His Love of Music & Kool Cars; Buck Owens' Last Interview

BOCA RATON, Fla.--March 30, 2006--News of country and western icon Buck Owens' death came as a shock to the staff of Car Kulture DeLuxe, a magazine that focuses on the lifestyle of hot rod car lovers. The April 2006 edition of the magazine, now on sale, features an extensive interview by Melinda Miles, noted feature writer and pinup model.

"We knew that Buck made an unusual exception to his policy of no interviews to talk with us," said Geno DiPol, publisher of CK DeLuxe. "We felt honored that he would take the time for the exclusive interview about his career and love of cars.

"We believe that the interview may be the last that Buck granted before he died," Geno said.

In the interview Buck talks about how he won the "Buckmobile" in a Vegas poker game. Buck owned two of the rare custom-built machines.

CK DeLuxe covers a new generation of gearhead guys and pinup dolls who are living the joys of garage-built hot rodz, rolled up jeans, piled high pompadours, cool tattoos, rockabilly and psychobilly music and 'cruisin' the avenue.

Car Kulture DeLuxe was founded in 1999 by Petersen Publishing, Inc. as Hot Rod DeLuxe. It was a move by Petersen to connect with the roots of hot rodding by featuring basic cars without high-end paint, chrome and upholstery.

The magazine covered not only classic hot rods but car history and culture including the music and clothing that are integral to the hot rod scene. The magazine eventually evolved into the title that has been purchased by Koolhouse Publishing Inc.

CK DeLuxe is a bi-monthly, published in alternate months between its sister publication Ol' Skool Rodz.

Car Kulture DeLuxe and Ol' Skool Rodz are distributed worldwide by Curtis Circulation Co., and are on sale at supermarkets, drug stores, and convenience stores as well as Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble, Borders, Books-a-Million, Tower Records, Hastings and all quality newsstands.
