Armor Holdings, Inc. Receives $28.5 Million for Up-Armored HMMWV Program

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 30 -- Armor Holdings, Inc. , a leading manufacturer and distributor of security products and vehicle armor systems serving military, law enforcement, homeland security and commercial markets, announced today the receipt of orders valued at $28.5 million from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command supporting the M1114 Up-Armored HMMWV program. The Company advised that the new work is to supply armor sub-system components as well as for production of M1114 and M1116 Up-Armored HMMWVs for the U.S. Army and Navy. Work under the new awards will be performed during 2006 and 2007 by the Armor Holdings Aerospace and Defense Group at its Fairfield, Ohio facilities.
