Johnny Cash's Cadillac Fleetwood to Walk the Line at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction

PALM BEACH, Fla.--March 29, 2006--Music legend Johnny Cash's 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood sedan will cross the block dressed all in black during the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Collector Car Event on Friday, March 31, 2006. Included with the sale of the Man in Black's Fleetwood will be full documentation. The fourth annual Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach "World's Greatest Collector Car Event," which includes a gala, vendor displays and three days of No Reserve auction excitement, runs from Thursday, March 30 through Saturday, April 1, 2006.

"The loss of Johnny Cash was felt throughout the music and entertainment businesses," commented Craig Jackson, president and CEO of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Co. "It's a tremendous honor that we are able to host this historic vehicle during the same year that the Man in Black's biopic became one of the most honored films of the past year."

With approximately 50,000 actual miles and an all original body, minus a two-year-old paint job and rebuilt transmission, the 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood, Lot #376, comes with the Tennessee title and tag proving Cash's ownership, as well as full documentation for the vehicle's mileage.

The Fleetwood has a proven and reliable 500 c.i.d. V8 mated to an automatic transmission, offering a smooth level of comfort and performance in a historic and gorgeous package. Painted jet black with a black leather interior and riding on chrome wire wheels, the Cadillac features full functioning heat, air conditioning and cruise control system.

"What else would Johnny Cash ride in besides a big, black Cadillac?" added Jackson. "For any Johnny Cash fan, and I know plenty that will be present at our Palm Beach event, this is an opportunity to own a legendary car that has been in the ownership of one of the coolest performers our planet has ever seen."

The Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction is scheduled for March 30 - April 1, 2006, at the South Florida Expo Center. This year's event will include more than 600 quality collector cars, all selling at No Reserve. Television coverage will be provided by SPEED.
