Houston - Fuller prerace release 03-28-06

HOUSTON (March 28) - Top Fuel driver "Hot Rod" Fuller is looking to the
O'Reilly Spring Nationals to close in on the NHRA points lead. After his
early-season win in Phoenix, Fuller is ready to impress the faithful again
by showing his qualifying prowess at the near sea-level facility.

"Despite the high humidity, being close to the Gulf of Mexico really gives
these cars a little extra goose," Fuller said. "This is also our team
owner's hometown, so I'm looking forward to showing all of our special
guests just what crew chief Lee Beard's guys are putting together for our
march to the championship."

Beard, one of the sport's top brains, is looking forward to Houston. "We did
quite a bit of tire testing after the Gainesville race two weeks ago and
found the handle on these things," Beard said. "We're ready to put the pan
on the stove and get cooking."

The Top Fuel dragster will also be sporting a new paint scheme for the
Houston event. Former Top Fuel and Funny Car champ-turned-homebuilder David
Powers will debut DavidPowersHomes.com colors for the first time this year.
The black and gold on white body will also carry 84 Lumber and LP Products
as part of Powers builder's store network along with the familiar Valvoline
logo.
