charles williams named VICE PRESIDENT and general manager of Manheim
pointSM
ATLANTA -- Charles Williams has been promoted to vice president and
general manager of Manheim POINTSM, a Web-based inventory optimization
tool for used car dealers.
In this role, Williams will be responsible for product management,
customer implementation, marketing and operations of the Manheim POINTSM
business. He will report to Hal Logan, Manheim's senior vice president,
strategic planning.
Williams joined Manheim in 2004 as director of product management for
Manheim POINTSM. Prior to that, he worked for a variety of companies in
marketing, customer relationship management and technology positions.
"Charles has provided outstanding leadership through the
development and launch of Manheim POINTSM, and he is well-deserving of
this promotion," said Logan. "Manheim POINTSM provides dealers with a
product unlike anything else we've ever seen in the remarketing
industry, and Charles is uniquely qualified to take the product to the
next level of success."
Manheim POINTSM gives dealers up-to-the-minute data based on
a dealer's own wholesale and retail transactions (linking directly to a
dealer's DMS system such as ADP and Reynolds & Reynolds) and those of
other dealers nationwide, allowing dealers to make more informed
appraisals and buying and selling decisions and to implement those
decisions immediately through Manheim's various sales platforms.
