Teradyne and Softing Use Automotive Standard to Connect Their Systems
ISMANING & HAAR, Germany--March 28, 2006--Using ASAM-standards not only simplifies the process of creating and testing diagnostic information for vehicle manufacturers and control module suppliers, but also enables different tool suppliers to interconnect their systems. Teradyne and Softing proved the standard-conformity of their product platforms in a cross-test, by linking the diagnostic authoring- and runtime system GRADE-X(TM) and the DTS-CommunicationServer (DTS-COS) via the ASAM MCD-3-D interface."DTS-COS proved yet again to be a platform for diagnostic applications", Mr. Steffelbauer, Manager Standard Products, Softing commented: "Being the first product on the market, DTS-COS provides a highly developed maturity."
"The minimal effort required for realising this connection shows the effectiveness of the open architecture of GRADE-X and success of the ASAM standards" comments Martin Eichhorn, Teradyne Product Manager GRADE-X.
The GRADE-X authoring- and runtime system can make use of tested and approved DTS7-COS ODX-diagnostic information via the ASAM MCD-3-D interface. Therefore, control modules can be accessed among others using all EDIC(R)-platforms and their various protocol implementations.
Teradyne and Softing presented the test results at the ASAM-membership meeting in March 2006.
