Camara and Klein Deal with Disappointing Starts

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (March 26, 2006) - Andretti Green Racing drivers Jaime
Camara and Jonathan Klein opened up the 2006 Indy Pro Series season today at
Homestead-Miami Speedway, and both came away disappointed.
For Camara, his race was over almost before it started. At the drop of the green
flag, he bolted past pole-sitter Jay Howard, but was cited for jumping the start, as was
Wade Cunningham. Camara and Cunningham were both given drive-through penalties
that dropped them a lap behind the leaders. Camara went on to finish 11th in the #11
CELG/Goias Dallara.
Klein, who started second in the #27 Klein Tools/Turn-Key Forging and Design
Dallara, assumed the lead of the race when Camara and Cunningham served their
penalties and held the lead until lap 11 when he was passed by Howard. Klein ran
second to Howard until lap 53 when contact with Chris Festa sent Klein into the outside
wall and ended his day with a 15th place finish.
Both Camara and Klein will return to action next Saturday and Sunday with an
Indy Pro Series double-header at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

Jaime Camara, #11 CELG/Goias (11th):
"I thought I had a pretty good start and I'm not sure what happened to Jay
(Howard). I saw Wade going and so I decided I was going, too, and then I passed (Jay)
Howard. I can't say whether or not I passed him before the start-finish line or not. But, I
was coming up on him so fast that I would have had to touch the brake because I didn't
have anywhere to go. I just don't know why they didn't throw a yellow and restart the
race - even with me being put to the back. But, a 'stop and go?' Man, I can't understand
that."

Jonathan Klein, #27 Klein Tools/Turn-Key Forging and Design (15th):
"It's hard to say what happened. I need to go back and look at the tape before I
will know for sure what happened. Chris (Festa) and I were racing close, I was trying to
work with my teammate (Jay Howard) and I feel like (Festa) came up into me. Jay and I
were obviously the two fastest cars out there. The team gave me an awesome car. Jay
and I had a plan and we stuck to it. We were working together. We were getting into the
closing laps of the race and then that got cut short. But, we still feel good about the rest
of the season because the car was so good here."
