Lear Honored by Toyota for Superior Supplier Diversity and Excellence in Quality

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 23 -- Lear Corporation was recently honored by Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America (TMMNA) for superior supplier diversity and excellence in quality during the 2006 Annual TMMNA Supplier Awards Ceremony on March 21.

These awards acknowledge those suppliers who have met Toyota's highest standards in quality, delivery, value improvement and supplier diversity.

Lear as a whole was honored for superior supplier diversity, recognizing the company's outstanding efforts in minority business development initiatives. In addition, Lear's plant in Edinburgh, Indiana was recognized for excellence in quality.

Toyota's Annual Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony bring together the automaker's approximately 500 North American suppliers to share expectations for the coming business year and to recognize outstanding performance among suppliers.
