SCCA Solo Department Tabs Downing as Solo Events Manager

 

TOPEKA, Kan. (March 23, 2006) - SCCA's Solo Department announced that
Nancy Downing has been promoted to Solo Events Manager.

 

With the promotion, Downing will now be responsible for managing general
event operational functions of the Tire Rack(r) SCCA Solo National
Championship, Tire Rack(r) SCCA Solo National Tour and Tire Rack(r) SCCA
Pro Solo National Series events, assisting the Solo Site Acquisition
Committee as well as offering support to SCCA Regions and members with
general Solo Program processes and procedures.

 

"This change was necessary in order for the Solo Department to continue
providing its participants the best product possible," SCCA Director of
Solo Tasha Marlow said.  "As Solo Events Manager, Nancy will be able to
focus more on the Tire Rack(r) SCCA Solo National Championships and also
provide needed support to our competitors.

 

"Having Nancy serve in this capacity will also help ensure a smooth
transition of Solo Nationals to Heartland Park Topeka in October."

 

Downing began working for SCCA in October of 2002.  She previously
served as Executive Solo Assistant.
