Sun Motor International, Inc. Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

HONG KONG--March 23, 2006--Sun Motor International, Inc. (OTCBB:SNMO) today announced that Patrick Lim has joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer commencing March 17, 2006, replacing Eric Wong, who is assuming a new position as Assistant to the Chairman.

Mr. Lim has over 18 years of experience in accounting and finance, including 5 years as a senior audit manager at Deloitte Touche and 7 years as Director of Corporate Finance at Sun Hung Kai Securities and Peregrine Securities, both Hong Kong-based investment banks. Mr. Lim has been an independent director for Lerado Group, a Hong Kong-listed manufacturer of infant and children products, since 1998. He is a chartered financial analyst ("CFA") and fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Association of Certified Chartered Accountants. Mr. Lim holds a degree in accounting from Birmingham University, Masters degree in information systems from the London School of Economics and Masters degree in management from the University of Sydney.
