Fel-Pro(R) Introduces Solid-Core Performance Intake Manifold Gasket Sets for High-Vacuum Racing Engines, Street Machines and Tow Vehicles

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--March 23, 2006--The Fel-Pro performance gasket product line now includes a broad offering of premium solid-core intake manifold gasket sets that bring added strength and stability to high-vacuum racing engines and performance applications with extended service cycles, including street machines, recreational and tow vehicles.

Fel-Pro gaskets, "The Gaskets Professionals Trust(TM)," are manufactured and marketed by Federal-Mogul Corporation (OTCBB:FDMLQ).

Fel-Pro solid-core performance intake manifold gaskets are .065" thick and feature a high-strength steel core that prevents the gasket material from being sucked into the intake port. This benefit is particularly important in "Super" class drag racing engines that use throttle stops and timers, as well as engines built for short track use, where drivers go from wide-open throttle, to lift in the corner, and back on the throttle throughout the race. These gaskets also maintain required structural integrity and shape, in spite of extended exposure to oil and other fluids and incorporate Printoseal(R) surface treatments to provide a more reliable fluid seal on street engines that experience moderate to high levels of motion between the intake manifold and cylinder heads.
