Urban Science Joins Forces With Leading European Automotive Retail Services Firm Webfair AG

DETROIT, March 21 -- Urban Science, a leading global retail sales network consulting firm, today announced that it will join forces with Webfair AG, one of Europe's leading suppliers of automotive sales and service quality management systems. Based in Munich, Germany, Webfair provides performance-driven solutions that allow organizations to more effectively collect and analyze information on the performance and quality of their retail outlets and networks.

"The addition of Webfair further strengthens Urban Science's ability to analyze the performance and quality of our clients' sales and service networks," said Urban Science founder and president Jim Anderson. "Combining Webfair's dealer monitoring and assessment capabilities with Urban Science's network planning expertise will give our customers in all of our global markets even better information on which to base critical retail decisions."

Webfair is known for its Internet-based AssessNet program that automates the evaluation, assessment and auditing of compliance with manufacturer standards across international dealer networks. Based on standard technology and with full multi-language capability, Webfair AssessNet supports the capture of dealer information and the evaluation and assessment of dealers, resulting in greater visibility across the network and a reduction in OEM administration costs.

"Joining Webfair with Urban Science allows us not only to deliver best-in- class technology but also to combine it with Urban Science's unique business intelligence and decision-support services and solutions," said Webfair president Moritz Seidel. "This unprecedented combination will enable customers to reduce costs, gain business intelligence and improve decision making."

Webfair's Internet-based software products are built on standardized Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), which is rapidly becoming the future of software development. This is a significant user advantage, in terms of leveraging current software assets and providing substantial cost-savings for new software implementation.

"Combining Webfair's robust technical development abilities with Urban Science's industry-leading analytical processes enhances our ability to meet our OEM customer needs in the complex European market," said Urban Science chief marketing officer Jack Bowen. "Teaming with Webfair will benefit our customers by enabling us to build highly capable industry-leading software solutions on two continents."

Webfair will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Urban Science and retain its current name and management. Urban Science and Webfair will continue to service their existing customers and will work together on future product development.
