DETROIT, March 21 -- After someone slashed her tires and put sugar in her 25-year-old car's gas tank, Jeanita Blanding, a local mother of five, wasn't sure how she would get her premature baby to his doctor's appointments. Taking the bus wasn't an option -- the baby, who weighs only five pounds at five months old, can't risk being exposed to large groups of people.
