Map Data to Be Used in OSPInSight Network Management Solutions
CHICAGO, March 20 -- NAVTEQ , a leading global provider of digital map data for GIS, location-based solutions and vehicle navigation, is providing its map data to Advance Fiber Optics for integration with its industry leading network management solutions. Advance Fiber Optics' OSPInSight software is used by telecommunication, cable and utility companies to evaluate market expansion opportunities, reduce service restoration time and costs, identify network asset availability, and maximize asset use and income.
Advance Fiber Optics, Inc. is an industry leader in network management solutions for the communications and entertainment services industries providing everything from software and data conversion, to field installation services. Advance Fiber Optics will integrate NAVTEQ(R) maps with its OSPInSight Network Management Solutions for the telecommunications, cable and utilities industries. Under this new agreement, NAVTEQ will deliver quarterly updates of its map database to Advance Fiber Optics, for integration and deployment with its network management solutions.
NAVTEQ employs one of the industry's most comprehensive development and quality control programs for the highest levels of quality and precision. Executed by a team of over 550 field researchers, the NAVTEQ database includes detailed attributes from turn restrictions and relative road crossing heights to road segment access restrictions, one-way streets and speed categories to help optimize routing. Additionally, NAVTEQ maps include Points of Interest including restaurants, hospitals, shopping centers and leisure facilities, making it easier to locate and route to many different destinations. Both NAVTEQ and Advance Fiber Optics will be exhibiting at TelecomNext 2006 in Las Vegas, March 21-22, 2006. NAVTEQ will be demonstrating its products in Booth #2439 and Advance Fiber Optics will be in Booth #316.
