Surprising second round exit for Greg Anderson

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 19, 2006) - After going to the final round in
both of the first two races of the early 2006 season, three-time and
reigning NHRA POWERade Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson exited the 37th
annual NHRA ACDelco Gatornationals in a surprising second round loss to
Greg Stanfield.

Against Dave Howard in the opening round, Anderson, behind the wheel of
the KB Racing LLC, Summit Racing Equipment Pontiac GTO, covered the
Gainesville Raceway in 6.664 seconds to take the win.

In the second round, Stanfield was away first at the green, gaining
enough of an advantage to take the win light. Anderson ran an elapsed
time of 6.670 seconds to 6.669 seconds for Stanfield.

"We got beat at light and we got beat on the track," said Anderson after
the disappointing loss. "It adds up to losing in Pro Stock these days.
He (Stanfield) did a heck of a job. He made a great run. He deserved
to win the round. It's that simple. My hat's off to him and I hope he
goes on and wins the race."

Anderson remains in the top spot (No. 1) in the POWERade Pro Stock point
standings with 274 points, 75 points ahead of second place.

ESPN2 will air same-day television coverage of eliminations of the 37th
annual NHRA ACDelco Gatornationals from 5 until 7 p.m. on Sunday (March
19). The elimination show repeats early Wednesday morning (March 22)
from 2:30-4:30 a.m. Television times are Eastern Time (ET) and subject
to change at anytime. Check local listings.

Anderson and his KB Racing LLC-owned, Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock
Pontiac GTO now head to the Houston area and the next race on the NHRA
POWERade Drag Racing Series - the O'Reilly Auto Parts Spring Nationals -
which is scheduled for March 31-April 2 at Houston Raceway Park in
Baytown, Texas.

KB Racing LLC is owned by Las Vegas businessmen Ken Black and his son
Kenny Black. KB Racing LLC fields two Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock
Pontiac GTOs, one driven by Greg Anderson and the other by Jason Line in
the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Anderson has won three consecutive
POWERade Pro Stock Championships (2003-2005). Line finished third in
the 2005 POWERade point standings and was honored with the 2004
Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the Future award,
presented to the most outstanding rookie in a professional category.
This year KB Racing LLC also began fielding a Top Fuel Dragster, managed
by Kalitta Motorsports, with rookie Top Fuel driver Hillary Will
handling the driving duties.
