HomeNet Launches Exlusive Inventory Service for Mercedes-Benz USA

WEST CHESTER, Pa.--March 16, 2006--HomeNet, Inc. is pleased to announce today that the Pennsylvania-based automotive technology provider has been awarded an exclusive partnership with Mercedes-Benz USA.

Mercedes-Benz dealerships will now utilize HomeNet's Inventory Online (IOL)(TM) technology to streamline the process of uploading vehicle listings to their manufacturer-provided website. Mercedes-Benz USA has granted HomeNet permission to enhance vehicle listings with corporate "build-data", ensuring dealerships can now showcase the most accurate and robust vehicle data available to online customers. Under terms of the agreement, Mercedes dealerships can upgrade to HomeNet's IOL Pro package and use the same technology to seamlessly distribute vehicle inventory to other online services.

"We needed a one-stop-shop vehicle inventory solution provider," stated Peter Berensmann, Specialist, Retail Initiatives - Internet Marketing for Mercedes-Benz USA. "HomeNet not only handles the DMS (Dealer Management System) dial-ins but they were able to meet the end-to-end needs of all of our dealers."

HomeNet's IOL is a vehicle inventory solution for dealerships and online vendors in the automotive industry. It is a tool box of PC-based and Web-based software applications designed to simplify the process of managing and maintaining vehicle inventory from the dealer management system (DMS) to the Internet. Complete with DMS polling, VIN enhancement, online access, broadcasting capabilities and more, IOL is one of the most comprehensive inventory solutions available to the automotive industry.

"Mercedes-Benz USA is truly ahead of the curve when it comes to empowering their dealerships with the tools they need to effectively market their vehicles online," commented HomeNet's CEO, Jesse Biter. "OEMs need to realize that the dealership is their most important customer. Mercedes has really taken a huge step forward by granting dealership access to manufacturer build-data. This gives franchisees a competitive advantage over independent dealerships and gives car buyers a more productive online shopping experience."
